I'm a weeee bit confused here (nothing new!). Are you talking about the clamshell not being square when it's CLOSED, or not square when it's OPEN?:shrug

I think he means one side shuts completely and one side doesn't. Try standing at the rear center of the car with the clamshell open, place your hand just below the rear window in the center where the racing stripes are and firmly push the clamshell down - don't slam it - but firmly close it with some velocity. Unless the stops are out of adjustment (unless you have the spring style) it should close evenly on both sides. This was shown to me by Saleen folks at the first rally. Hope this helps.

Mine does that after someone standing near the car tries to "help" open the clam before I am able to yell STOP. Seems the clam gets just a wee bit out of wack and acts up. As for a fix, I didn't do anything, once the engine warmed up the clam it didn't present a problem anymore.

I had that happen. Can't tell you why. Does not appear to have been bent, and there really isn't an adjustment. It makes you wonder since you can't see anything.

Had my dealer get me a new one under warranty. I replaced it. Now no problem.

So, try a new one.

What - A Clamshell? Whew what an alignment problem!

Thanks for getting back

No not that, its the clip on pass side it goes to far forward.it wants to go in side the sqaure.I need a new saffty clip. You know it has to stay on outside
then clam shell shuts it then jumps to lock

No, GFORCE is right, just the latch, not the clamshell.

Replaced the safety latch, and no further problem.
