Any COE fans out there?

Have been considering building a vintage car hauler for some time, but never got around to it because project cars are hard to come by. By pure coincidence I got the chance to buy this 46 Chevy COE so the decision was pretty easy :lol

Frame has been restored, 454 Big block chevy with a Turbo 400 out of some early eighties pick up truck, but the rest needs a full resto. I am considering extending the cab to crew cab size so I can fit 4 people in there and then adding a slanted vintage looking car hauler bed with storage from the side.

Anyone know where to get parts for these things?

I always wanted a 1938 Ford COE, but too many projects have gotten in the way. I figure it will be the best place to use my Sherman Tank engine, but it sure won't fit where the flathead was!

I have a 54 5-window pu that I love. I am a Chevy fan at heart, but no Chevy compares with a Ford GT.

Anders, do you find all this stuff in Europe?

You wouldn´t believe how many old US cars that have been imported to Scandinavia these last years with the booming economy and favourable exchange rate.

I have so far found most of my cars directly in the US, but now with the financial situation, we see sellers starting to lower their prices considerably. This COE was bought from a car dealership that had about 50 vintage US cars and hot rods in his warehouse, and he needed to free some cash I guess!

Tommy with Tommy's Trailers is a big fan and has a real nice COE with a modern frame, brakes and drive train underneath ... check it out on their site.
