I'm sure some of you may know Larry Miller, who owns Miller Motorsports Park as well as a large number of dealerships and the Utah Jazz. Larry and his sons are true GT enthusiasts, and they have a number of modern Ford GT's as well as a number of amazing vintage vehicles including one of the 1-2-3 Le Mans cars. Rick Saute and I both participated in an event last year with two of Larry's sons, and I had the good fortune to get to know them a little bit. I read today that Larry had both of his legs amputated below the knee due to complications from type 2 diabetes. This follows medical trouble last year after a heart attack.

Please send a prayer or thought for these difficult times to the Miller family, and hope for a speedy recovery for Larry.

I met Larry at SAAC-32 - a truly magnificent man who is a great friend of Ford, Ford Racing, all automobile racing, and the fans of racing. The facilities at Miller Motorsports Park are 1st Class for both competitors and spectators.

I wish him well and a speedy recovery.

Sad news! Thinking good thoughts and adding Larry to my prayers.

Prayers said.

Best wishes.

Gentlemen,

Larry Miller is one of only a handful of automobile dealers who are known nationwide and respected by all of their fellow dealers, both large and small. Larry owns a number of car dealerships here in the Phoenix area as well as his stores in Utah. All the best Larry and we'll be praying for your speedy recovery. My father lost one of his legs to type 2 diabetes and he did get up and walk again.

Prayer is all I can offer for Larry.

Maybe after he gets better we can supply a smile with a local GT ralley at his place to celebrate his recovery. I all ready beleive the prayers have been heard.

In recognition of a life well lived, I offer my sincere condolences to Larry's wonderful family. In 64 years, Larry accomplished innumerable achievements, yet never lost the common touch. I have a remembrance of Larry, sitting alone in his golf cart at Clubhouse corner at MMP, watching the American LeMans cars practice. Most, if not all, of the passers by would never have guessed that this lone figure in a simple polo shirt was the founder of many a successful enterprise. The mark he left on Utah will not be soon forgotten. Godspeed, Larry.

P.S. If you ever want to see some incredible GT40 history, you must go to the museum at the track. It is often completely empty, and there are three GT40s there of incredible provenance, including the number 1 car from Le Mans 1966 and Andretti's Mark IV from Sebring.

DBK,

Sad to hear, I see this every month. Met Larry Miller at the SAAC at his Race track a couple of years ago, I believe SAAC30
