The car show season in the southwest starts now. There are several shows this weekend and we chose the Sanderson Ford all Ford Motor Company brands car show benefitting Operation Santa Claus. Good variety and quality of cars. Here are some pics

Our GT won first in class and best car in the show!

Our GT won first in class and best car in the show! Adults and kids really enjoy the GT. We met new friends, had a fun time and Sanderson Ford went all out to put on a great show and support a worthwhile charitable organization.

The orange 3-window is my 'fav'. It's just plain nasty looking. :willy

Congratulations! It's so nice when the kids are excited to see the GT too. We took ours up to a small country show by the Ottawa River and got best late model prize.
 
Congrats on the award, looks like that detail job you did on the GT paid off. I forgot this show was on yesterday. I would have joined you after C&C.

Was the Lorenzen Galaxie the real deal? I saw a nearly perfect recreation on the southwest side of Chicago about 30 years ago. Lorenzen had retired from racing and was a real estate agent in Oak Brook, and the guy who owned the car was hoping to show it to him. This car could be the same one.

Funny story about how they originally got there. Now, because of all the attention the "kiss" gets, they are permanently there (and regularly replaced).

Ed and I were at that show a few years ago with the GT's. His Red one took first place and my Heritage took second.I guess resale red is a favorite.

Red 'shines' up better than 'powder blue' and orange. Assuming all else was equal, that likely accounts for the order of finish...or perhaps your car just lost the coin toss! :wink

I gotta admit, His red car shines up real nice and he always keeps it in perfect gloss.
