A mod/noob sticky...

I was thinking. Could possibly one or combination of the most modded and helping members here start a sticky thread of all the mods for the GT, (Bony, Shadowman?) and who makes/where to find each mod. On some of my L forums we have what is known as a Noob sticky, it lists all the mods and answers all the basic questions about that particular vehicle to eliminate a ton of new threads, very similar to the amazing and helpful tech sticky here. It seems there are lots of small mods not advertised in the vendor section, like Kip's products for instance. I can't find all the small or extra products and really want to start modding more, appearance, performance, and safety wise.

Hopefully this isn't too much to ask but I think it will cut down on noob threads like my own. TIA for any help, Stan

Stan, I like your idea about a mods sticky. I don't have one of the most modded gals by a long shot as I'm just beginning but here's my starter list to kick this off.

Nota4re - Kendall, his master mechanic son - Ryan, and Corbrar1339 - Wally performed all of the install on all mods for my Heritage which includes: Classic Design Concepts' rear bumper delete; Heffner's custom exhaust, pulley and SCT tuner; Accufab throttle body, axle bolt upgrade, and air inlet support; GTSaver - Jay's nuke light and low profile shifter ball; short throw shifter; TA Shocks' lowering kit; Stormcat's CF console and SJB cover (POD hopefully coming soon); Kip's CF center tunnel, door trim rings and soon to arrive gauge panel & storage bin conversion kit; Valentine One; new head unit for iPod/MP3 and Bluetooth; Wally's competition belt bars and cup holder, Derry's custom lug nuts, and Kendall's Cool Tech transaxle cooler, Window Savers, Halon fire supression, license plate spacers and frame, ChargePort, Brembo brake decals and a couple other Cool Tech goodies.

First, I'm impressed that you read my same old list again (and more impressed that you caught me slipping in the cup holder for the first time). :thumbsup

Well, I must admit that I debated long & hard about listing this controversial add (and Wally might not be pleased with me for attributing this to him - it's OK, Wally, you can disavow any knowledge or involvement :confused). However, the fact remains, there has to be a modicum of comfort for my co-pilot wife (who drives faster than me and has attended Bondurant Race School). At the rate I am buying stuff, all things FGT, support from the right seat does make life considerably easier. Though, at a minimum of a 1 for 1 expenditure at Badgley Mischka, Burberry and Bruno Magli (to name just some at the beginning of the alphabet) is necessary to keep peace in the family.

Can I ask for forgiveness considering the fact that there's a single collapsible cup holder on the passenger side which can't be seen by the driver and is well camouflaged? :bow

I'm in Orlando today and before flying out last Sunday, I fired up Ms. FGT for a pre-dawn drive (as it would be a week before driving her again). With the highways clear, there were several entertaining albeit brief encounters during my hour jaunt. The most interesting: As I was making my final leg home, my gal was competently negotiating a series of uphill twisties in the mountains separating one side of Oahu from the other. I could hear and see the boost (out of the corner of my eye) build steadily. I approached at medium velocity the back end of what appeared to be a highly modified late model Cobra Mustang. At first, catching my eyes at some distance were shiny letter inserts of some sort in the COBRA of the rear bumper. As I got much closer, there was a rear badge announcing "Powered by VENOM". I thought to myself, now this could be fun.

As I pulled over a lane and moved up alongside Mr. Cobra, a tunnel was not too far ahead of us and I looked over at him, he downshifted and took off. As he opened up a nice gap on me, I floored it and about a third of the way through the tunnel I passed him. By the end of the tunnel and out the other side, his headlights were rapidly retreating and disappearing in my rear view. I slowed and waited for him to catch up, looked over again and gave him the :thumbsup. He ignored me and just looked straight ahead (I figured he must've gotten out of bed with a sore neck which prevented any side to side movement). :biggrin

Actually I am getting one of those cup-holders as well. What Wally does not know, is that I will be converting it to a wine chiller as Kendall only likes his wine chilled:cheers
