Gentlemen,
Every year when I watch the Indianapolis 500, my mind wanders back to the Ford GT Forum's gathering at that venue 4 years ago. Indy Bill was one of our hosts and everybody had a great time, rain, mud, traffic, and all. As I watched today's race I was pleased to note that although Formula One cars have gotten very ugly as of late, Indy cars are still very beautiful. One week from today many of the same characters pictured below will be gathering in France for an even more historic race. I believe Ford GT1 cars are the most beautiful automobiles of all.
Here's a brief look back at "the way we were" almost half a decade ago. Please note that our "Moderator Emeritus" Daniel had ditched the Indianapolis 500 lanyard that was supplied with our credentials and substituted his own! There will never be another Bony.
