About 9 months ago we built this car for a customer of ours who wanted to use his GT R at weekend open track days. He has driven the car about 20 times and he has been able to set some pretty amazingly fast lap times with it. At some tracks he is within seconds of the Porsche 997 cup cars lap times. The car has been extremely reliable, never once letting him down. The only required service has been new fluids, brake pads, and tires. Everything else has been bullet proof for him.
He recently decided that he would like to move into some SCCA fender to fender racing and get a little more involved in his racing ventures. Unfortunately, there is no class for the GT R to compete in so he will be using a BMW M3 and having it built to compete in the SCCA series. He is not 100% sure that he even wants to sell the GT R yet but he asked if I could mention it to some of my customer's who might be interested in a great track car. This car is truly AMAZING. It has well over 140K invested into it. 8 point SCCA approved roll cage and still retains power windows, door locks, air conditioning and stereo. Which can all be removed very easily if you would like to take the car to the next level.
The original plan was to have a Stage II build for this car which would turn it into a complete race car however now that was when the customer wanted to stick with weekend track events. Now that he wants to race fender to fender the GT R just won't work.
So, if you're interested in a great Targa Rally car, or something that would make an amazing weekend track car let me know!
