I talked to the owner/seller yesterday (Larry Gross (386) 423 8238) and he says he would take $ 140,000.00 for a quick sell - The high bidder won't complete transaction because the car is still on OPEN MSO and he wanted a titled car

140k for an original owner open MSO car is pretty darn cheap!

whoa whoa whoa I love you.

I am calling this guy today.

is an open MSO car technically a new car?

good question - I think for titling purposes the answer is YES it is a new car and when you turn in the MSO you are the first (registered) owner

as far as the Ford warrenty I think that started the day Mr. Gross took the car off the Ford dealers lot

I just called the ownwer and he stated the deal is going through ??:confused:confused

doh

im sitting in class right now

he told me yesterday afternoon that the Texas buyer/high bidder would not finish the deal because of the MSO - I guess 24 hours makes all the difference in the world?

You can't be a little pregnant! - LOL

I do know that FULL SALES TAX will be collected on that MSO when who ever turns it into their states DMV and, here in GA, on a 140k transaction at 7% that would be $ 9,800.00

and if the FLA DMV ever enquires with the seller as to how he, not being a dealer, can keep an MSO open he may have tax liability as well

Just my .02 cents

Be glad you're not buyin' in Washinton State. I had to pay 8.9% :mad

Can you imagine? PAYING THE GOVERNMENT just because you BUY something?

Not to mention the "gass guzzler" tax!!!!!! WHAT A RIP OFF THAT THING IS! That tax doesn't change a physical thing (gas burned ... greenhouse gasses, etc.). The ONLY thing that changes is that the money goes from OUR pocket to the government's pocket. (And, MOST exotics to which this tax applies DON'T SEE 500 MILES OF USE A YEAR!!!!! So, REGARDLESS of their mpg they have ZERO effect on "conservation",et al, in the 1st place. (But of coarse, THAT isn't the REAL purpose of the 'gussler tax at all, is it. $$$$$$$:mad :mad :mad $$$$$$$$$$ )

Jackson, Hamilton, Franklin, Adams & the rest must be pukin' on a regular basis.
