Hi guys. had the 1st service done on the car today. Changed oil and filter. Car had just over 1600 miles on her. Took an oil sample and will have it tested.
In addition had the short shifter installed, :thumbsup :thumbsup air intake tube- fibre glass stiffner installed, :thumbsup seat belt chime tuned off, :banana daytime running lights turned off. All this was done by Milke Hocking at Polito Ford in Lindsay Onatrio. Great guy, knows his stuff. Shadowman can attest to this! Mike let me help all the way through. Longest time was r&r the belly pans to change the oil. Total time charged for ALL item was only 3 hours. Very reasonable!!:cheers
here are a few pics for the group:

How much road debris did you find atop the rear diffuser, '06? :lol

nice pics-

Not meaning to hi-jack this thread, but I had about one cup full of small pebbles/stones trapped at the forward edge of my rear Belly pan when I changed my oil at 950 miles. Other than removing the pan, I can see no way of removing the debris...

I blow out and/or vac the whole area everytime my car's taken for a run. (A-NULL!:willy)

AJB I found a little, maybe a handful of really small pebbles. Not only on the underpan a few stuck to the frame rails as well.

It is very nice of you to take a few minutes and share both your gal and the experience.

Yes; without a doubt Mike at Polito Ford is passionate about and a master when it comes to these gals. Then add to this that he has the (IMO) proper mindset when working on these gals and he does not let the surprise twist and turns upset or frustrate him he simply moves through the process calmly and willing only to leave behind the best workmanship possible.

IMO the folks in Canada are fortunate to have Mike as a member of their GT team.

Takes care

THANKS so much for posting, Rod here from Richmond Hill - just spoke w/ Mike @ Polito yesterday after I tried pretty much every local Ford dealer to inquire re my first oil change only to be refused... no one locally is "comfortable" w/ handling the service - even the dealers that sold multiple GT's....

Mike is super friendly & versed w/ GT's to the point that it sounds like they're the ONLY place to go in Ontario.

Between the pics & being pointed in Mike's direction by Shoadowman as well, geez, hope those short-throws are still available!

I think things happen for a reason so I think maybe it's a good thing I didn't find a local dealer willing to service our car.... aahh, the pain of owning such an awesome car - lol!

Thanks again!:thumbsup

Hi Rod. Welcome aboard! ENJOY the ride!! Both here and on the road. Mike was great. Glad I could help out. We should try and get a GTA group get together soon.
