1970 boss clone for sale

"actually I do have a service block its a replacement block, dz01 number, but not because the 69 block was hurt, but rather the guy who had the car before me did road race it and pulled out the 69 original block as to preserve it should the car ever needs to be put back to original. "

Does the service block have '69 or '70 heads? Seems like the '69 motors are rare as hen's teeth.

I've just traded off my 69 block for a 84 351W for a stroke kit installed. Reason - stronger, won't splay and deck height less than .020 difference. Still work as original with a shaker hood but holds ~500 HP.

If you are looking for a block - I might know where you can get one or two :biggrin

its a 70 service block and heads they held up a bit better.

So convertibles weren't Boss or Mach 1's, but this probably makes 450 hp with it's 351 (ok- only as long as the NOS lasts).

I like it. The '67/'68 car always looked good with the fastback body style. If I remember corrected the 428 ci engine was rated at 360 hp? Is it a four-speed?

Those days were not much different than today. You can order a Mustang with a number of different engine combinations. I don't think we'll experience this in the future.

428 was rated at 335hp. was closer to 400 in reality. Red car is a 4 speed above.

ok Im hijacking the thread back I have decided to keep the yellow 70 it is currently at the body shop where she will sport a new look One I have always wanted on one of my cars, black with flat black hood and trunk lid and tail light panel, it will be a while before the completion but I look forward to her new attire

Roush, don't be silly. Go with RED!

actually one of my favorite color on a 70 boss would be red with the black stripes, but this car will not pose as a boss any longer, :biggrin

Very cool on the black on black paint scheme... can't wait to see some pics.

Sorry I haven't been able to get down that way to look the car over as planned.
