So what are the variables between these 2? Suspension, weight, brakes, power, other??? I'm beginning to look, but not in any hurry. Like tracking, but have no interest in dragstrip. Car would also be on the street on weekends for enjoyment. I've not had a Mustang since my 64 and 1/2 stick 289 in mid-sixties!! Let me know the various opinions and what helps with the decision. Thanks, Bert

Bert - they are pretty different cars.

The closest sort of comparison I can make is between a GT2 and GT3 Porsche. Ultimately the GT500 is faster everywhere. Faster in a straight line, faster around adult-sized road course. Stops harder. It also costs about 10-20% more depending on options, and retains 4 seats. That said, the Boss LS would be better suited to being a track car or better if you spend a lot of time on tight winding roads. Tighter gearing, flexible N/A engine, lighter weight makes it more of a GT3-type car. Haven't tested the theory yet, but I'm sure the GT500 gets hotter quicker when being driven hard. It also literally has no grille so some radiators are going to get trashed eventually. When you're going in a straight line, it is a monster.

GT500 is 662 hp/631 tq ~3850 lbs, Boss is 444 hp/380tq ~3650 lbs. 6 piston Brembos on GT500, 4 piston on Boss.

I'm getting close to 1000 miles on my 2013 GT500 and I like it alot. It's an extremely fast car for the money, and it's about as fast as a Ford GT. It's also a very comfortable car for street driving and the Bilstein adjustable shocks seem to do fine on the comfort setting. I'm hoping to get it down to the road course in a couple weeks.

Does the 2013 GT500 have ductwork to the brakes like a track car?
Or does that need to be added?
I think the LS has that from the factory.
