    Dad's 85th Birthday Today

Had a great day today with my Mom & Dad celebrating his 85th birthday. Started out with breakfast that my sister made then when finished, we started to go through some of the picture binders my Mom has put together over the years. After the first of the year, we will hit Pops 35mm...

Heated Seats For New Ford Explorer

Wife is getting a 2012 Explorer for a company car. She forgot to order the heated seats and wants them now (car will be arriving at Price Ford, Port Angeles, WA, 0n Jan 2) . Anyone have experience installing aftermarket seat heaters in a like vehicle? Recommendations on a vendor for the seat...

    Great Day

Even better here in Sequim. 15.5 inches of rain total for the year with nearly 3 inches of the total during November. Had been really nice till last Tuesday afternoon then the sky let loose.

Killer Security System for my Garage

Great pictures of the security system and the cars. 63 looks wonderful and you are correct about the after-market parts for the C-2 Vettes. Looking forward to seeing the car with the original wheel covers. PS: Meant to mention that I saw a SWC on the (new to me) Mobil 1 Oil commercial while...

    Corvette Restoration

Like HHGT said, 100 MPH all day long in the C-2's, that is with appropriate gearing. The C-1's require a little more attention to detail when driving, but hey, don't think any of us would be on this forum if paying attention was not important to us. If the car is well maintained, it drives...

    Corvette Restoration

Thank you Michael! All the cars have an extra set of steel wheels fitted with period correct rubber (biased ply) Firestone, BF Goodrich, Goodyear and with the correct wheel covers. Never really drive the cars with biased ply tires on them..... Cars in the picture are fitted with radial tires...

    Corvette Restoration

I've looked at the cars Doug offers and at one point, while at a show at Black Lake in Olympia, Doug took a ton of pictures of my 63 as he was contemplating building a 63 Coupe. Don't know whatever happened to that project. I may opt for one of these cars as I get older. Would be a lot...

    Corvette Restoration

Interesting article. The brakes on the 63 Z06 are metallic and only work well when HOT. Agree too with EP on the driving characteristics on the C-1 Vettes. Although, when driving my 62, an unrestored but refreshed car (original paint & owned by me since 1970) get the same looks and head turns...

    A few pic's

Always good to see the collection. Great cars and equally great places to store them! Deuce to super cars! Love it!

    Electric Heater (s) for garage

JD is a fine substitute for electric heat.... I am known to use Jack's cousin, Jim, on more than several occasions with or without heat and I never use it unless I'm alone or with someone. As for the Vette, call it anything, save for a 64.... Have either of you guys sourced a place to fix up...

    Electric Heater (s) for garage

    No, 63 SWC. Saddle/Saddle. 340Hp.

    Electric Heater (s) for garage

Do you want to use forced air or IR? I use forced air in one of my shop locations, however, that space is only about 1000 square feet. Mounted the unit on the wall and using electronic filters. Did not bother with ducting either and made a plenum to an elbow where, if I need to, can direct...

    History of the Ford Logo

Great information. I'll need to take a closer look at what script is on my Deuce. Would be interesting to look at the Ford V-8 emblems and how long they were put on the cars/trucks.

    3.5K Smiles & Miles

Have had a ton of fun driving the GT this summer and have logged a little over 3500 miles. Had the car at several shows and a tour or two and met some very nice folks along the way that enjoy the car collecting hobby as much or more than I do. The GT has run without any issues, and, as we all...

    Interesting Hardware Provider

Ran across this on another forum. Thought it might be interesting to others that are in a tough spot with stripped bolts or threaded inserts. DJ http://www.mcmaster.com/#thread-repair-inserts/=dx0d4h
