    Hey thanks everybody!! :biggrin

    Whippled GT...what sparkplugs?

TR7IX should be used on all of the pulley changes and SC changes. Don't know about the turbos. Gap should get smaller as cylinder pressure increases. Ignition has trouble firing high cylinder pressure cylinders with large gaps. I run .022" for anything over 17psi. Thanks, Dustin

    New Whipple dyno figures anyone?

Thats pretty low, do you have Accufab TB, inlet support and exhaust mods? 19psi should make 725rwhp+ almost always, even if it's 90deg F outside. What spark plugs, I've been using the NGK TR7 IX, gapped to .022". Did you drain some coolant out of the IC system? Install redline water wetter? Did...

    New Whipple dyno figures anyone?

Thats certainly correct, Gen2 puts out 1-2psi more at the same rpm, but also picked low speed airflow which increases low and mid range throttle response. Hard to show on the dyno, but there is nearly a 12% increase at flow below 8000rpm compressor speed. Also, remember, boost is the pressure of...

The lack of a Knock Sensor in a GT

Its ROUSH. Instead of spending the time to get the knock system to work properly, and the PCM was more than capable of it, they make the motors ultra safe with low octane gas. Even the new PCM in the Shelby GT500 could use them, but they don't. Instead, they are setup so they will not detonate...

Whipple Making Noise, please help me to ID it

ITS NOT A BAD BEARING!! Noise is from the bearing bore in the housing, either too tight or too loose, which we will see. Has no effect on life of SC, performance or anything else. Dustin

Whipple Making Noise, please help me to ID it

Yes, we'll be taking it apart, but nothing failed, it's getting a noise, blower operates fine. I'm 99% sure one of the rear bearings is causing the noise, which is only the outside of the bearing race that is pressed into the housing, it's teflon strips help reduce noise. Thanks, Dustin

    Spy Phots - Stillen

    Looks very promising!

    Spy Phots - Stillen

Thats because this is not the right SC, that inlet is for something else, also no adapter to factory intake manifold? It's shorter because the Lyhsolm built the rear plenuem into the housing. Are they putting the drive snout through the window? :biggrin I think thats the housing, but wrong...

    Whipple Gen 2

Case has changed, but we have plenty of cases, just not enough rotors. So we'll have to make rotors with different rear shaft design. We'll have some, but it takes time. The rear bearing design is different, same bearing, but different bearing. This was changed for marine applications, but we...

    Whipple Gen 2

Very, very soon, and I'm pretty confident it will leave here with 800RWHP on 91 octane gas. Got 2 more tricks in my bag :banana Dustin

    Whipple Gen 2

No, 3.25" pulley. Long tubes and high flow mufflers drops boost 1-2psi, especially at this flow level. Thanks, Dustin

    Whipple Gen 2

Few reasons, first, when I first did my first GT, where we built the pulley and first tune, I started with 3rd gear pulls, and everyone after that. Therefore, all my data is with 3rd gear pulls. Data logs, graphs, info, etc. I've certainly run 4th gear runs. I've back to back them, at this...

    Whipple Gen 2

No, there was still room with injectors/pump. The red line is 12.5:1, so this got to a max of 12.25:1. This AF on top varies .25 depending on the ignition firing. Also, this has long tubes, so the AF is reading 1 cylinder, so you get slightly higher pulses than a constant flow in one collector...

    Whipple Gen 2

The displacement is the same, the Volumetric Efficiency is increased. Typically VE was somewhere around 85-95% depending on boost and rpm. The Gen 2 picked up nearly 12% VE at rpms lower than 10,000 and 7% at high rpms. This gives you more air volume at the same rpm. Also, because it leaks less...
