    Prices stabilizing?

If there were ever an expert in this subject, they have spoken and I stand corrected. Actually glad to hear it. I have been on the receiving end of other cars that were 'correctly stored' garage queens and spent many hours and $$ in putting them back on the road. My experience is not with the...

    Prices stabilizing?

If you buy an 'unused' GT today, you are buying damaged goods if you intend to drive it. A GT sitting for 10yrs is in FAR worse condition internally than one that has seen limited regular use. The unused one got ravaged by time, rather than the previous owner. There are no new GTs and those...

Tire Rack does not list a Hoosier R6 in a 315/40-19 that I can find. Was it discontinued?

    Pulley change on stock blower

The shim thing has been debated a bit. I did not bother, the tensioner is near center of its range and there is no belt slip to past 16psi. I did insist on a steel pulley not aluminium due to slip issues but have not had need for the shims at the PS pump. Replaced the belt at the 20k service...

    Lumbar adjustment for seat

The lumbar bladders and pump balls are available aftermarket. Got some for my wife's Escape from a seller on Amazon. They are not expensive. Trouble will be with installing them in the GT seats with the vent holes....

    Pulley change on stock blower

Don't need a lift but the blower needs to come off. Not a particularly hard job for a competent mechanic. Took me about 3 hours all in but I took my time.

    Need rear tires

Which size Hoosier are you guys running on the rear and how do they compare to the size and look of the Bridgestone on the car? IE are they nearly the same height? What are you running on the front? My current set of Bridgestone rears are nearing end of life and this thread might have me...

    Ford F-150 Triton 5.4 problems

Not sure what TSB you are referring to on the DI engines. ALL ecoboost engines are DI. We have owned 2 now and been very pleased with both. Current one is in wifes Escape, a 2.0EB that now has 45000 on it. Peppy little CUV and has been very reliable. I get all the TSBs on our vehicles via...

Oil change result and question part 2

http://www.amazon.com/Dorman-097-021-AutoGrade-Rubber-Gasket/dp/B000CIQY78 This is a box of 25. Its a 12mm. Many auto parts shops have carded ones with 2 or 4 in a package. I keep a box of these and a box of the 14mm (097-025) ones on hand and they fit 90+% of the cars, bikes, trucks and...

Oil change result and question part 2

If the plug is leaking, just replace the washer. A new copper washer or bonded rubber washer work great.

Home made MIL eliminators and/or O2 Sensor spacers?

You can see all of this information with TorquePro app on your android device and a bluetooth OBDII interface module.

Home made MIL eliminators and/or O2 Sensor spacers?

First, the O2 sensors do not measure temperature. They meassure air/fuel ratio with a wide voltage swing right at the stociometric point. With the rear O2 sensors turned off, the CEL light will never be set for cats missing. The OBD Emmissions check will show all tests ready except for the...

Home made MIL eliminators and/or O2 Sensor spacers?

That would certianly poison the 4 sensors but would just set the CEL permanently. Or if reset it would just come back within 3 drive cycles. Besides, the foreward 2 sensors are important for the ECU to auto adjust fuel trims. Running without them long term would eventually lead to the fuel...
