    Seller's remorse...

He was fine, car was totaled. I heard that before the wreck he’d podiumed in it at a 12 hour Sebring race.

    Seller's remorse...

Worst case of seller’s remorse for me was when a 350R clone I’d spent years building disappeared into its shipping trailer on the way to its new owner. To make matters worse, not too long after the new owners did this at Spa in an FIA race

    Fuel / boost

On my 51,000 mile car the gauges tell me when its time for a new battery, they stop working, but new battery has always cured it. I’m on my third.

    THE VIRAL PRESIDENT

For all the book readers in the Forum, I've just published a satirical novel about the pandemic, politics, and media's influence on our lives. It's now available through all the usual sites, or direct from Archway Publishing's website. I submitted the manuscript at the end of June and it's been...

    12 V Outlet

I hard-wired my Radenso Pro M from the overhead light, no problems. Popping the cover off is, err, nerve-wracking, lots of leverage required!

Air Filter Replacement - Part 2 (AKA 2,700 miles doesn't mean "new" on a 15 year old car)

Nice thing about GT filters is that they’re from a Mustang, just buy two!

    Pricing in next 5 years?

I think dealer allocations were linked to dealer performance? If you were a five-star dealership (or whatever Ford uses) then you qualified. The guy that runs Planet Ford got a very earl black/white stripe car and told me he had qualified for two more because all his dealerships were highly...

    Top Gear 2018

The new team is an improvement over the last lot, but the ‘chemistry’ still seems forced. Loved Harris’s test of that insane electric VW Pikes Peak car, tho’

Fuel Filler Fix - solution found and engineered

Ha! Steve, once my workshop is clean of the Rolls project, come on down. I’m hoping my shop will be freed-up before year-end

Fuel Filler Fix - solution found and engineered

My fix was to pull the filler pipe, as described many times in this forum, then re-assemble the flapper and run a #8 screw through the plastic hinge and into the pipe. This prevents the flapper assembly from dismantling itself again when a gas hose nozzle bumps into it. I did this fix about five...

Replacing Turn Signal Lamp in Left (Driver Side) Front Headlight Assembly

So, 3 Hollywood action stars decided to go classy and make movies about classical musicians: Stallone did a bio of Mozart, Norris made a documentary on Beethoven. Arnie said, “I’ll be Bach”. Thanks, I’m here every night through Thursday......

Replacing Turn Signal Lamp in Left (Driver Side) Front Headlight Assembly

After 52,000 miles my front passenger turn signal went out on the way back from the Hill Country. I searched the forum and saw that it’s a big job involving pulling the fender liner (which I’ve done before when fixing the fuel flap). However, I also read about the ole’ “thump it a few times”...

700 mile update on 0098 - AJB Liquid Blue

Use search and you’ll find an extract from the manual on oil change procedure. No seals required. The process is much easier than on the 05/06 cars; a lot fewer belly pan screws plus an oil filter design that doesn’t puke oil everywhere when you remove it.
