Do I need a meter to see the trouble codes or do they come out on the dash somewhere?

Thanks for all the great information! Was there some sort of recall on the transaxle bolts? Also I need another set of keys made will I need to bring the car to Ford or can I just give them the Vin Code and my original key?

This is a really great site! I'm now a owner of a 06 yellow w/black stripe Ford GT. I'm a past Viper owner and never thought I would see this day! I would like to know some basic facts for when I'm showing off the car, any help would be great IE: Im told part of the car is aluminum? Thanks!

This guy(scott) is repairing a 06 Ford GTfor me now...good people to deal with and so far very trusting. He buys the salvaged cars from auctions.
