    Replacement Splitter Struts - Adjustable

Kendall, thanks for solving this problem. The price of your replacement splitter support struts are lower than the OE parts too.

    Curious crank damper/pulley movement

I'm not sure about the GT, but most crank balancers (Harmonic dampers) consist of a steel inner hub and an outer pulley with rubber between them. Is the rubber flexing?

    Car History Check Advice Needed

I don't think 150K-ish miles is a bad thing, instead I consider it a good thing that the car got driven regularly. It also reduces the price. You will have some wear related stuff, like door hinges, hatch/hood hinges and struts, shocks, maybe suspension bushings, and the like. I would want a...

If you need to change the clutch fluid, I think you need to change the brake fluid too.

2006 Ford GT Oilpump and Serpentine Belts

IMO, inspect them but if no cracks or fraying, keep running them. I've never seen a belt just break. All the failed belts I've seen had cracks, fraying, cord separation, etc. long before they snapped.

Fuel filter, brake fluid and power steering fluid

In my opinion: Fuel filters: Replace at recommended miles, not on time. Time doesn't matter, what matters is how much junk the filter holds. Unfortunately, there's no way to know without opening it up. In my experience across multiple cars, unless you feed it discount gas station gas, the...

Ford 6.0 EGR Delete Kit with Tuner Question

There is a forum for those engines and trucks, and the guys there will know the answers. A very short answer here is that any aftermarket tune or delete WILL negatively affect your emissions and warranty. If you must stay emissions-compliant, forget about it.

Welcome to the Forum. Your Frenglish is pretty good. If you want a driver car, definitely go for one with 5-digit miles, the more the better. Cars that don’t get driven regularly have more problems than those that do. I have 90,000 miles and two other guys here have 150,000 miles on theirs...

    Power steering noise

It doesn’t matter if it’s original Ford MERCON fluid. Any PS or ATF that has the “MERCON” rating will do (but not “LV” as Eric noted). I just looked on my shelf for a bottle of ATF with MERCON on the label and used that. Note to everyone else: flushing the power steering fluid is not part of...

Thinning the Herd…1970 Albert Blue Porsche 911E for sale.

Nah. If yer gonna buy a 2.7RS, sell the blue 1970. Otherwise, you won't drive the RS much, if at all. As you know, I'm a strong proponent of driving the snot out of one's cars, not saving that experience for the next guy. Like marrying a supermodel...

    Power steering noise

I was getting some power steering whine, particularly when cold. A quick check of the reservoir dipstick showed it below the stick. I added about a cup of recommended fluid to get it to the top of the fill line. I hate to admit it, but it's probably the original fluid from the factory, other...

Looks nice and price seems fair. Too bad I already have one (1973). Good luck.

Looking for a 4L Whipple for my ‘06 GT.

Pat, wait for BMF to finish his 3.8 kit. It's based on the latest generation Whipple design. The 4L is several generations old.

    Recommend an OBD II scanner?

Kendall, does the CEL flash when the problem is critical, like in other cars I've seen? I wouldn't know if it does that in the FGT, as I haven't seen a CEL in mine--and hopefully never do.

    Recommend an OBD II scanner?

If the CEL is not flashing, I would keep driving it until I got it fixed. Let’s see what the error codes are.
