Updates on your 2005-2006 Ford GT, What have you done lately?

It’s been a fun 15 years of ownership. Looking forward to next 15. The one car I’d keep over all the stuff I’ve owned. There are 05/06 cars for sale now with less than a 1000 miles....I did that distance in one day in #0421. Getting it freshened up so I can repeat the process.

Small hydraulic fluid leak from aero flap mechanism

I think the part they replaced is the actuator and some lines that attach to it. The flap mechanism or chute was ok.

Small hydraulic fluid leak from aero flap mechanism

I got the front hydraulic leak addressed under warranty in December. $8600 part. Thought it would be just the small hydraulic piston part, but it’s actually the whole assembly including several lines (the “Medusa” in pics at top of this thread). Problem fixed.

    BUMPER DELETE KIT

I’m having the bumper delete on my ‘05 changed to the GT Guy setup. Like the look of the pipes exiting up high.

How much gas/miles left in tank when light comes on....?

The fuel pump is inside the fuel tank, and actually cooled by fuel. Running tank low just causes electric pump to run hotter, potentially decreasing it‘s lifespan.

Onboard the GT MK II for a lap of Buttonwillow racetrack

That’s smokin‘. Not a lot of visual references out there, like trees etc. Still hit your marks spot on. Bravo!

    2018 Heritage Ford GT

Just a thought for any interested parties...I’d consider taking an 06 Heritage as a part trade on the 18 Heritage. Or...one of the above listed Porsches.

    2018 Heritage Ford GT

Thought I’d post this here. Kicking around the idea of selling my ‘18 Heritage FGT. I have a FGT MK II that I can drive and thrash as Multimatic/Ford intended. Also other stuff out there has captured my attention. Just got an 18k mile Euro spec 95 993RS. Interested in looking for a 993 GT2...
