I've done about 6-8 hours of motor time. Roughly 4 track days. Last event was cancelled at COTA due to "Snowpocalypse" in February. Will be doing some stuff at my local track soon. Had it serviced at a MM authorized race shop in Austin. It's ready to go.

The latest FGT being auctioned on BaT

People are spending money like drunken sailors right now. Pent up and bored from the pandemic combined with cheap money. I'm as guilty as the next guy having added a few cars myself.

Looking inside an engine during cold start (-30 degrees)

Thank you for posting, comrade 😂 Dr. Frank could translate for us also. Good use for an old Lada in this experiment.

    New shocks from Ahlman Engineering

Rich is putting Ahlman 2 ways on my 2005 as part of its refurb. Stock shocks were toast after 57k hard miles.

    Merkur?

First car I bought out of medical school. 1986 XR4Ti. I was an intern at Parkland hospital in Dallas, Texas. It got totaled in a chain reaction, 6 car, fender bender 4 years later. Unitized body. Definitely a cool car. Called the Sierra Cosworth in UK. I was just looking at them on line...

    Just Curious........

Also intercoolers are not near tail lamps in the Mk II. They are one unit and sit above gearbox, where the hydraulics reside on the street car. I guess you could go fixed wing on the street car and move stuff around. $$$$! Your car would end up like a Gemballa Mirage GT...sorta.

I love the air jacks. You are the coolest dude at any track day :)

    You will be invited.

Do it on a Saturday. I'll drive up from DFW on a Friday, mooch a place to stay with Frankie, and then head home Sunday.

One way to be prepared for four days straight of no power.

We didn’t suffer with good heat and water thanks to the generator. My neighbors...not so good. I look like a “stable genius” right now for having done the install 😂 Having a 4x4 Ford pickup was also great. The wife is an OR nurse. Took her to work in the snow and ice without a problem.

One way to be prepared for four days straight of no power.

Very industrious. I have 110 plugs on my F250 diesel. Will have to remember this hack. Fortunately I put in a 45 Kw Generac unit a few years back. We live on a somewhat unstable grid outside of town. It’s run off a 1000 gal propane tank. We hit minus 2* on Monday night. The 4 banger...

Congrats! Love the #98 livery. Enjoy in good health!

Dead battery-- easy fix 2020 NFGT

You can see the pigtail red/black wire connected to the terminals on the smart junction box top left. Makes it easy to connect the trickle charger on the early cars. If voltage drops enough, the cars battery goes to “sleep”. It has to be “bumped up” directly, bypassing the box. A newer...

    1093-MILE 2006 GT FOR SALE

When my car comes back from Rich it’s gonna be as clean as this one 😂. But it will still have 57k miles. This one looks right for someone to actually enjoy and drive.

    Cracked Windshield

Have clearplex on both FGT and Mk II. The Mk II had some delamination of the windshield that MM expertly took care of. The delam occurred prior to any film. No problems since.
