I was surprised to hear that too. I think @BtwoG recently said that they are building cars quickly enough these days that the paint often isn't ready for PPF on delivery day and that many new owners are having to wait a couple of weeks.

That would be how I would interpret that. It also seems to indicate that if a repair is made under warranty and your warranty expires the next day and something happens to go wrong with the same item again, they would not cover it. I'm basing my guess on the interpretation of the last sentence...
