Houston Half Mile Shootout - Saturday, May 12

Thanks, that picture is a collage of each plane that I have owned. The 727 in the background is the Houston Rockets plane.

Houston Half Mile Shootout - Saturday, May 12

Who is going to be there on Saturday? I am not running in the half mile shootout but I may have the GT in the car show part. If the red/white GT is not there look for a white Mooney N56FM and feel free to come over and climb in the cockpit.

    Sitting on Gold?

The Enzo is supposed to be gold but if you add up what I spent on it and take the capital that I have tied up in it, I still should have invested in Apple Stock. The brake job was about $15K and we value engineered it. :)

Sounds like the answer is Speedhut.

    Any news on gauge failures?

My theory is that it is in the bearing on the needle and that after it hangs up it frys something in the gauge. My gas gauge gave me several failures when I had the car jacked up at the rear. When I jacked it up from the front the gauge worked and has been working since. Maybe just dumb luck...

It is all Done The project is finished. If any of you want to try this yourself feel free to PM me and I will be happy to guide you through. It was really a pretty easy project. Reon at CDC was great to deal with and had no problem shipping me the kit in two separate shipments since he did...

If they would have made access through the belly pan for the oil change it really would have been nice.

Wtb: Rear belly pan section any condition

Its for show, I am going to paint it body color with stripes. I may also smooth the panel but I will have to see what I get. I had looked at fabricating a new pan from scratch but its better to start with an existing pan.

Wtb: Rear belly pan section any condition

I am looking for a rear belly pan in any condition but preferably with the diffusers damaged. Whatever pan I get I am going to remove the diffusers and paint it body color with stripes for a different look. Obviously, I need one that is straight. If anyone knows of one please let me know.

You really need to remove the clamshell because the best practice is to also remove the rear fascia. Also, I could not get two the two screws that secure the heat shields to the frame rails without removing the muffler. Although I read someone removed a muffler with the clamshell on it would...

    Diy bumper delete

It was really no problem at all. I didn't mark anything because I didn't like where the panels were sitting previously. Frankly, the gaps are better now that I have readjusted everything. The biggest challenge to the job was getting the exhaust adjusted to hit the hole in the rear panel in...

Getting Closer The light is there at the end of the tunnel. As soon as the lower mesh panel arrives this week it will be completed. The rags are there because the lower panel aligns the bottom edge. For those of you that want to try this yourself it really wasn't bad. The guys at CDC were...

    Diy bumper delete

I tackled the CDC Bumper Delete today and it took about 3 hours to the point where I am at. I am definitely more than halfway because all I have to do is rehang the rear fascia and stick the clamshell back. For those of you that want to try it yourself I would say it was a pretty easy project...
