Master Cylinder for an 05 Ford GT!

One other thing to try. I have repaired several master cylinders on other cars using no new parts. The usual reason for master cylinder failure is leaking between the two chambers internally. This leads to the felling of the pedal slowly sinking to the floor under pressure. This frequently...

    Possible new tire option ??

Since the 'stones keep going up in price, maybe competition from the Pirellis will put some downward price pressure on them.

New headlights for 2005/6MY Ford GT

It's a regular incandescent bulb, not an LED. Do not get fancy and try to substitute an LED. You will probably cause further blinker problems.

You would just mix the front and rear Pirellis, like we do now with the Bridgestones.

Ditto what Kendall said. The rubber parts can't be unique to the GT. How does he know he needs a new MC?

Valentine V1 Install in <10 Steps

Mike, set the meter to read ohms. Then put one lead of the meter on the screw where it's bare. Then put the other lead on something you know is grounded, such as the bolts that hold the seat down, or similar. You should get zero ohms. If so, then you havre a good ground. Or wait until I...

Updates on your 2005-2006 Ford GT, What have you done lately?

Excellent work. Thanks for sharing. I don't need a retrofit yet, but if/when I do, I'll keep this in mind.

Valentine V1 Install in <10 Steps

That screws into the chassis, so it should provide a good ground point. However, I would use an ohm meter to check to be sure.

    Tire availability 2005/2006 GT

Keep it in perspective. I run the Bridgestones, and when my speedo says I'm going 80, I'm really around 78. The speedos had a slight positive error even with the Goodyears.

Maybe a good option for us?

Frank, yeah, if you need a back on it, then the camp stool won't work well. I like them only because they are light and compact, and beat sitting on the ground most places. It's good to have choices!

Gauges are going out - looking for recomendations

The Gen1 FGT "analog gauges" aren't really. The OE gauges have digital innards that move the needle. And they have a gauge controller hidden under the passenger foot board, IIRC. When I specified a higher-reading boost gauge in my Speedhut panel, I also had to install a new sender at the...

    New Coilover Option

If you like the Hot Wheels look, go for it. Just don't expect any difference in handling.

New headlights for 2005/6MY Ford GT

Yes you can replace the bulb. Hope it's the bulb and not the "ignitor". First, take out the old bulb. You will have to remove the plastic inner fender with is a PITA. Then take it to your FLAPS to match. There are several different kinds of HID, so you want to get the correct replacement.

Gauges are going out - looking for recomendations

Ditto what the others said about the battery being the likely culprit. HOWEVER, before jumping to that conclusion, let me ask, how old is it, what type and warranty did it have, and how often do you drive the car? I advise a cranking voltage test too. Can you do that yourself (or with...

    Don't be this guy

It's hard to analyze, given the fields of view, but those two videos look suspiciously like the same car on the same stretch of road, two different times, with slightly different results.
