Disconnecting the anti-rollbars makes this possible without prybars...but the front ARB disconnection is a PITA and requires a slim non-standard open end and allen wrench. So Rich agrees with Kendall and uses this prybar...

    Bushing housing is aluminum. Bar pin is aluminum yes the ball joint removal is the bigger challenge They weren’t a different material …far closer to big rotors than most others.

    Nope. The forged arm is the only OEM replacement. This is another area I may go after longer term with a few bushings replaced for multiple improvements. We did ~1500 car sets of the billet arms until the forged arms were ready for production...12,000 arms.

    We were battling Boeing for sourcing every certified billet of 6061-T6 and then still ultra sounding and x-raying each billet before going to Roush and Multimatic. I can't recall if Wixom held these pieces before or after this testing step.

    When I said shock replacement I was referring to the suspension coilovers because of the door strut that mounts over it. I couldn't tell you about this door assemblies strut/absorber durability, but removal of this doors strut from mounting requires somehow supporting the whole door assembly...

    Holding this door up and removing and replacing shocks is a challenge. Doable. But not straight forward to support the door without the gas strut attached to its mount.
