    Transmission 1-2 Shift Grind

I too have to be careful to avoid the 2nd gear crunch when cold. I find that slow shifts at low revs work, very rarely do I grind the gears when cold as a result. In any case, I was always told never to rev cold engines as the various metals expand at different rates - best to slowly warm the...

Finally got my Heritage, well sort of

Looks cool.... Am I right in thinking that the GT prototype had wheels similar style to this model? There is a 'stock' rim in the background but I think that this style is far better. Does anyone know where they can be purchased or who makes them?? Thanks Tony h

    Oil Accumulation in Diffuser pan

You dont need any facilities as all work can be done from under clamshell. Think all you need is a 13mm spanner (may have size wrong) but thats about it. Trust me, if I can do this then it has to be simple :lol Tony H

I have some old motorshow mags from 65 (may have been 67 was only a kid then) when the GT was available for sale - the quote read "not the sort of car to take Aunty out to tea in". Wish I had an Aunty that had bought one!! Anyone know how to get the current model to sound like...

    Stock FORD GTs

I have a 2005 with 2.7k miles - had 890 when I aquired it. I have pully, throttle body and exhaust - all reversible if needs be. I am not sure about cars with little to no use, surely this cannot be good for anything mechanical? I view my car as a work of art and as such needs to be shared...

    Jack Stands

Would it be possible to mark the area where Shadowman recommends placing the 4x2? I have seen the lifting points when the car has been on the ramp - going to buy some hockey pucks as suggested in another thread to place at the locating points when jacking. Tony H

Goodyear Eagle F1 rear tyres on offer at Kwik Fit

Had a call from Kwik Fit late afternoon. Problem was that when I ordered them there wasnt a GT listed so I put down that I had a Fiesta. The lady asked if I was sure that I had ordered the correct tyre as they were a bit wide for such a small car. Was meant to collect them on Sunday but now not...

    Jack Stands

Hi Guys Many thanks to everyone for help. Whilst I am fairly technically minded I dont want to hurt the old girl by not jacking at the correct points. Just for complete avoidance of doubt, are there any drawings or pictures that can be shared to show exactly where to place wood as per...

    For the newbies

I put a transbreather kit on which eliminates gearbox oil coming out of the breather for the gearbox. Looks cool and also keeps engine oil free. Tony H
