Sparco Track Kit

The 6 point harness is now FIA certified and has been received. Out come the seats next for mounting the harness. Anyone done that yet (and how?)

I did the Drivers side:
1) Remove the mini glove box at the front of the drivers seat cushion (open it up there are 2 recessed screws that attach it)
2) Remove the seat cushion -- 4 nuts: 2 front, 2 rear. The fronts are easily accessed -- the rears you need to tilt the seat back forward and use a socket extension
3) This gives access to the 4 studs to Install the sub-belts using the plates as clamps.
4) Lap belts bolt either side
5) Re-install seat cushion.

A couple of additional notes:
a) The Passenger side requires an additional couple of steps -- disconnecting the air bag wiring harness, and re-activation of the Restraint system
b) The sub belts are only adjustable via the clamp attached to the Tub -- check adjustment with the seat cushion in place, prior to bolting it in.

A few photos of the install:

Thanks Nick.

Hi guys my local Sears is going out of business so I thought it would be cool to buy a full size mannequin to display the track kit. So here it is in all its glory.

Oh, that is perfect! Very cool!

Great idea that is awesome

Looks like StormCat's twin.

Good looking dude! He looks fast’

The suit looks baggy on him. Maybe Sears cut back on mannequin food as sales dwindled.

That is awesome. Question: Will that kit shave 11 seconds off my lap times? If so, I’m definitely IN!
