Rally 9 Pre-Rallys?

I've seen discussion of pre-rallys from the north. Is there anything planned for those of us coming from the east and south?
 
Yeah. What about the few days before and maybe the few days after? We'll definitely be thinking about spending more time there by then. We could be full time if our CO house sells before...
 
No plans yet. Give us some time.

Gentlemen,

The night before Rally 9 I will be hosting a party at my home in Scottsdale followed by dinner at one of our fine local restaurants. GT convoy will leave from my home to Las Vegas the following morning. Details to follow. I will arrange good guy rates at the Marriott Old Town Scottsdale Suites as well. Cheers.

Seven months out and we already have a conflict! :lol Chip's Monday night party/Tuesday drive and Ed's Beach Cabana/Monday drive. Oh my!

I like Sunday drive, Monday drive, and Tuesday drive! :biggrin
 
I am driving to Vegas on Sunday & pre-Rallying on Monday. Then it's rest poolside with the wife On Tuesday with Rally driving Wed, Thurs & Fri. Day off with wife on Saturday & drive home on Sunday. One week of fun! No post-Rally this time for me.

We were there all last week. If you are coming from the north please note that the section of I15 through the Arizona Virgin River canyon is torn up for construction - it looks like they are resurfacing, especially bridges. As a result the lanes are very narrow with jersey barriers everywhere. There is some loose gravel as well.

Part of I15 between Vegas and Mesquite is also under construction.

At this point I am positive I will ship my GT from CO to Vegas.

Monday is the pre-rally starting at the Delano. Maybe around 250 miles round trip.

I'll be in Vegas next month to drive the pre-Rally course that I am planning for Monday Oct 13. It'll be around 200 miles long with photos stops & lunch along the way. I was thinking about a very short drive for Tuesday Oct 14 morning of around 100 miles also in the opposite direction. Both are very scenic. I don't want to repeat any of the roads DBK may have planned for the Rally though. Next month I will post specifics + photos of my drive & ask for people to sign up.

Are you bringing your GT for the scouting trip or just a rental car? Would you like come company?
 
I'll drive a rental but instead of a Chevy Cavalier or the like (DBK?) I have a F458 to drive. My wife may go with me but she's trying to get out of being a passenger & wants to be poolside. Keep in touch twobjshelbys.

See your PMs. What day (this coming Saturday?) and time ? I would love to go for a ride in a 458! This coming weekend is Barrett Jackson though. I don't yet know our schedule but some friends and I were planning on going over on Saturday afternoon.

Sounds like fun Ed. Count me and the misses in. Moved our flights and hotel and car transport up to be with you along with Xcentric. Keep me posted on details please.
