Thanks to Ralphie and all the rest of you :cheers i made a cash offer on this 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner yesterday :thumbsup it has a 440 Magnum in it with dual carbs and a 4 speed trans with the 8 3/4 rear end. if i buy it i am gonna sell the drivetrain that is in it and put in a 528 ci Hemi with a 10-71 roots Blower and two Holley 1050 Dominator Carbs. that should make at least 1,000 horsepower on race gas. the trans will be a 3 speed 727 torquelflite and a 4 linked tubbed dana 60 rear will go out back. Viper brakes will get this bad bird stopped. i can convert to alcohol injection later and take the motor to 2,000 hp but i will need to add two parachutes for that....

That's what I'd hoped you say! 'Couldn't see you buying a 'genny' and hacking it up. But, setting the $$$$ cost issue aside, using a 'genny' as the basis for a pro streeter would get you SHOT in some circles! :biggrin
