2013 Le Mans

My 747 is in the shop so I am going to have to watch the 24 Hours of Le Mans at home this year. The problem is that I can't find out which channel (if any) will broadcast it. I've looked on NBCSports and SPEED (the usual suspects) to no avail. Anybody know?

Not much USA coverage, usually. I found internet broadcast links on their web site.

Hope the repairs to your "little" one are covered by the extended warrantee. Did you ask for a loaner?

Seems like all 24 hours of LM were broadcast last year and for the past several years but with the programming shake-up at SPEED and other sports channels, it may have been shuffled off of the calendar (as apparently was the Isle of Man TT).

Hey Jeff, why didn't you tell me about the "loaner" program? Now its too late!

Isle of Man was on last week every night Monday thru Saturday at 9:00 Central time on Velocity channel which is 281 on Direct TV and actually it was very good coverage

Thanks, Steve. That explains my lack of Isle of Man coverage. I have DISH and DISH doesn't have Velocity channel.

Michael Dunlop won four races and everyone thought he would win all five but John McGuiness won the Senior TT and broke Joey Dunlop's record of 40 wins

Exciting start. Brutal crash for that poor Aston. Toyotas look fast. Audi has to be nervous.

R.I.P Allan Simonsen. Died due to injuries sustained in the crash 10 minutes in. So sad, and just terrible luck. As soon as they removed the armco, you could see the car had run straight into a massive tree.

Watching it on Speed as well today. Really surprised to hear of the tragic news of Simonsen. Can't remember the last time such a sad event happened. The Audi team alone has had several major shunts the past few years. Nice to see the SRT team racing this year in the new Viper.

It's been a tough race. Should be an interesting finish if it dries off a bit.

Not a huge fan of that massive Michelin video board. Pretty cheeseball looking in the middle of an iconic view.

Challenging race. Another victory for Audi. The Americans denied a podium in any class. The sad loss of a young driver.

Can't wait until 2014. Porsche back in the game is going to make LM P1 very interesting. I'll be making the trip for that one.
