Ford GT--Timeless

The beauty of our beloved Ford GT's,is that there will never be a newer latest greatest .This makes it a true classic .

And a difference between my Ferrari friends and GT friends. The GT guys will drive across 3 states to spend the day trying to go 200MPH. The Ferrari guys begin making alternative plans for an event at an espresso shop 5 minutes away if there is a 10 percent chance of rain.

I'll be darned. I'm a Ferrari guy at heart and I didn't know it.

I bought this 1090 Brutale, with a Cannonball package. It's a screaming machine but the new BMWs will absolutely walk away from me at 150+. It's embarrassing.

Mark - If you are referring to the BMW S1000 RR your not really being fair to your Brutale as your not comparing apples to apples

Don't forget the yellow socks and the red suede MOMO driving shoes.

"Is that one of those Ford GT things? Maybe I should pick one up for a grocery getter." :rolleyes

Ummm, not to mention the 2012 RR's have been recalled due to a rod issue - that could be deadly...

Would it be wrong to want an F car done in Heritage scheme???
That's what I would like :)
but then again, I want everything in Heritage colors??????????

Most yacht rentals do not include fuel or food. So budget extra.

Does she come with the rental?

Hey guys, new here.

I have been owning sports / supercars since I was 19 but I have finally bought my dream car which is the GT.
Have been driving the GT-R R35 for almost 2 years now and it really is a masterpiece from the Japanese but since a month ago I decided to buy something more exotic and unique.

When I bought the GT-R it was only 31 of them in Sweden, now it is 145 or something. ( Sweden is a Porsche country )
I set a limit of 180.000 Euros and I was standing there choosing between the F430 Scuderia, Murcielago LP-640, Superlegger 570-4, SLR, SLS and the incredible 458 Italia.
But for a second I thought, all of these cars are just amazing BUT!

The Scuderia is a kick-ass Ferrari with hard core design and a blast to drive in small tracks but is and will be beaten by its brother 458 Italia, which is outdated in a couple of months when the light weight edition will be released.
The Murcielago is just an animal but the clutch is so bad on these cars that an ice-cream in the desert will last longer then the clutch in a LP640 with me behind the steering wheel.
Superleggera is a blast to drive and the steroid pumped Gallardo is amazing, but soon to be outdated, SLR yes its a "McLaren" but the owners just to hate them.
All these cars will be outdated BUT the GT will always be timeless.

Any way, I went home and thought for a while what I was really looking for and the GT40 has always been an eye candy so and aha GT! You see, these cars are so unique that it is actually easier to find Al-Quidas HQ in Afghanistan then a GT here in Scandinavia.
I found one in Italy and I was in love at the first sight, by the pictures of it, or her. The GT has the shapes and a timeless design like the Zonda, F40, Countach SL Gulwing MK1 and so on. All the modern super cars today
are almost the same, each wheel has 8 PC´s running on big processor with huge fans, paddle-shift and 5 different traction systems, which in some cases you cant switch of (like the MP4-12C).

I wanted something old school, something like Man vs Bad ass Machine.

Driving the GT first time made me feel like a real man, changing gears with a manual stick was like shaking hand with a old friend, hitting the throttle at full on the straight was like if I got a 5L injection of the most super strong testosterone out there tuned with some gamma radiation. It was so hairy, manly, sexy, orgasmic (it had straight pipes) and almost like if the car was talking to me - Are you a pussy??? Give me more bitch!!! Anyway, I stepped out of the 700bhp GT after a while and I could not talk for 5 minutes and as you have been reading I have been blessed with driving allot of super cars, but this was something else.
And the shape of it, it really is a piece of art and motor history. We have allot of snow during the winter time and driving super cars is really a season thing here, but with a white/blue striped GT I can go to the garage during the most cold bad ass winter night and just enjoy the design, shapes and the rear end of the GT and fell like a rock star.

I am a hige Nurburgring addict and I am really looking forward to drive this animal there like I have been doing with all my sport/supercars.

So now I am waiting for my White GT with Blue stripes. It will be "shipped" early next week to me.

Ford GT, timeless design and probably one of the last "Man vs Machine" super cars today

Cheers / C-H from Sweden
