Wow, Chevy fires a shot at Ford.. Maybe their feeling are hurt on The Mustang / Camaro smack down in power ?? I'm sure Ford will have some kind of response,, This could be the presidential negative add campaign of the automotive world !!

The commercial is pretty stupid. Having said that, I love my Silverado Diesel.

They've taken a few pointers from their financial backers.

Gentlemen,

So let me get this straight, they can build a truck that lasts but the Company that built that truck self destructed and fell apart. I think the wreckage that the Chevy pickup was driving out of and through was the smoldering remains of Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Saturn, Hummer, & Saab.

"Looks Like We Made It" by Barry M. is the new Chevrolet theme song now that the company had been bailed out by Barry S. Chevy isn't the only thing that runs deep in that ad.

Well said Chip

Ironic coming from the company that had a marketing exec call Ford and complain about a joke youtube video mocking the ZL1. Dave drove a Ford? Coincidence? You be the judge. :lol

Wonder what would happen if Ford made an ad specifically calling out GM? Oh wait...we already do know what happens.

Be careful there DBK. Remember who owns that company ~ they can change the rules to benefit their interests.

Or, they could just simulate it...

Ironically, Howes' original article on the subject comes up as "Sorry - we seem to have misplaced the page you are looking for." Again, you be the judge.

Wow - I even recognized the street...that is Downtown Detroit...Brush and John R. Smoldering and broken.
I will expect some type of response from Farley...he won't let this just fade...

What an effing joke. I will put my Ford trucks up against any make for strength and Durability.

Kinda ironic how they have a box of Twinkies - isn't Hostess in chapter 11?
Misery loves company.

Geez.... thin skin, my friends. I thought the commercial was pretty funny!

You mean a follow-up ad, something set in a Post Armageddon world - like, HEAVEN - where everybody is driving an F150?? :rofl:rofl

Not thin skinned.. I own two Chevy's.. :biggrin Just thought it was bold to call out Ford by name. I have seen commercials where they may hint at it's competitor or place his product in the commercial and indirectly imply something but say the name directly was a shot.. I just thought is was a bold move that wouldn't go unnoticed by the Ford camp,,

I actually thought the special effects were good and they might have been equally effective buy just showing the badge of a Ford Truck crushed under the rubble or something..

We may have the start of something fun here.. :pop

..Time to speak my friends not always hide....That commercial was not only a lie, its the new american world order. No facts just make up everything for self interest....Fight back Ford....the Volt is crap........its a scam and a farce.... , it doesnt help the cause though...deleting the truth ...good or bad.........time to speak up........
P,S, that ACURA is sweet, its TIME FOR A NEW FORD GT........FOR THE LOVE OF FORD......GTJOEY1314

Yep,me too. Although I like the dog ads the most.

I really liked the Clint Eastwood commercial. Did it pertain to Chrysler in Detroit?

Yeeeup.

It was the best commercial aired during the game 'far as I was concerned. For that matter, it's the best commerical I've seen in YEARS - period.

"The old man", as his production people fondly refer to Mr. Eastwood, is a big favorite of mine anyway. 'Have an autographed photo of him on the fam. rm. mantle.

I actually liked the Samsung commercial the best. The one that showed all the Fanboys waiting in line. :lol

The Doritos commercial was written and directed by a Senior High School kid at my oldest son's H.S.

...come on Guys...the Eastwood ad was just a Political plug for Obama to get him four more years...1/2 time //4 years out of eight// 4 is 1/2 of eight etc etc ---easy to figure that one out....too bad for Clint ---I think he was tricked.... He likes Detroit from his 'Grand Torino" days...
