First the Ford GT reincarnates the GT40... Is Bill Ford putting his hat in the ring to buy Ferrari? His Dad would be proud, or would he? How cool would that be!!!

Has there been any speculation or comments from Ford on the possible sale of Ferrari? Would this be the right time for Ford to look into a purchase of this grandeur? They have been bit before for buying high then selling low...how much did Fiat pay for Ferrari?

After recently selling a couple car companies (Range Rover, Aston Martin, etc...), it woud seem highly unlikely that any kind of purchase is in the cards for the foreseeable future...... no matter how much kismet is involved.

+1

It's been suggested before that current econ realities dictate Ford isn't even likely to build another "halo car" for some time to come...and the cost of doing that would be pocket change compared to buying Ferrari.

But, given the history between the two companies, it'd sure be sweet!

Prolly not gonna happen, but Ferrari ain't no Aston, Jaguar or Land Rover.:ack Those names just equate "loss" in my brain.:thumbsdow Sure, I like old Jags, but I definitely don't want to own the company :lol. Ferraris bring sticker price in good times plus they are THE sports car that everyone else tries to imitate or compare to.:thumbsup There is only one Ferrari. Sure it costs a lot to be an owner (you have to pay to play) but that is part of the "joy":willy of ownership. I have owned Ferraris and would buy another. But $ for $ you can't beat a Ford GT.:thumbsup:cheers
