Ford GT limited to 205 mph?? Is that true?

HELLO EVERYONE,

Sorry I've been away for a quite long time, been traveling a lot, really crazy.

I've heard that our GTs are limited to 205mph? Now personally I think that's not true or is it???

It is true. You can easily change that by loading a custom tune. However with stock HP you would need a really long road to reach the 205 MPH, not easily done "legally" in the USA.

The stock GT has a speed limiter set at 205 mph. This can be reset or removed by software. It was installed originally because of the speed rating of the Goodyear tires.

But they ran one of the Nardo cars to a little over 211. Was the limiter added before the car went out to the general public or were they able to get the extra speed because of the banked track?

They were able to achieve that speed because no limiter was in place

OMG damnn, why the hell install a limiter on a supercar thts just stupiddddd, noww as i live in kuwait how the hell im gona find someone to erase tht limiter out

any suggestion , and if i switched it off would affect other softwares in the car >>?

Because the tires were only rated to 226 mph, which leaves a 10% safety factor....
