You are probably correct!

the mileage these cars get was just a drop in the overall mileage bucket at Ford. The last thing they worry about when making cars like this is the mileage for their CAFE.

Horay for resale value!

Well, November is coming up and then we can express our satisfaction with the current regime!

The fuel mileage of exotics shouldn't even be considered at all in fuel mileage stats regardless of who's emblem is on the fender. Exotics make up only a small percentage of the total cars produced worldwide and ARE NOT used as daily drivers by 99.99999% of their owners anyway. Most pbly aren't even driven 1,000 miles a year. Therefore, they could ALL get 20 gallons to the MILE and not even be a blip on the fuel consumption/carbon footprint/pollution radar.

Why all the FUSS is made regarding their mileage - other than for the political points that may be realized - is totally beyond me.

That is the point. Most all of the policies today are driven by political points, not facts, data and reality!

New mileage rules? That changes all the time. Every election the rules change and 6 years is so far off in political terms it's not relevant at all.

I think Camilo drives his car enough to bring EP's stat down to 98%.
:thumbsup
But I guess there are plenty of EP cars that never move to counter act that number and bring it back up to 98.9.
:thumbsdow

If everyone on earth drove like EP, the debate on global warming would be completely irrelevant regardless of your position.
