Don't ever take your gal for granted.....

Sorry about your troubles E.P........but by cheeriness I was trying to be subtle about the gay vibe of ad campaigns, car owners, etc.....

I realize that. That's why I stated: "Cheeriness"? I beg to disagree (but, not for the same reason )! :wink :cheers

'Turns out THE FUEL PUMP that BMW had just replaced under "recall" about 7-8 months ago - FAILED. The dealer has now replaced THAT one with a supposedly "new, UPDATED/REDESIGNED" version...but, they can't tell me if this "redesigned" unit was made by the same outfit that created the origionals. So, I be thinkin' we've now been made involuntary participants in a fuel pump version of Russian Roulette.

Peeved Pockets

Sound similar to the problems some are having with the tachs on the FGTs.

The diffs being two: 1- Wifey's car is still under warranty, and, 2- I doubt these fuel pumps run $3K ea.! :biggrin :cheers

Anyway, it's becoming more apparent that those here on The 'Forum who've expressed the opinion that no one should own BMW 'past warranty' are probably 100% right...:willy

I bet the fuel pump fix with labor will be well above 1K!

I do own a BMW out of warranty! I hope I beat the odds, if not I will have it towed to the front of Sam's house with a sign on the window reading,

"For sale, priced reduced for buyers with a hard bottom!" Please ring the doorbell for all of the juicy details. :lol

GREAT POST AND GREAT ADVICE!!!

I really enjoy the opportunity having these cars can give you to provide pure joy to people... sure there will always be the haters and the jealous idiots but for the most part I just try and remember the way I felt seeing my dream car go by, or an exotic that just captured me and what I would have done to just even sit in the car....

nice to see the smiles when you share these cars with people in that way...
