This is what I have to share with you guy's so far. 28 years of being a Ford Junkie has proposed a question to me. Have I gone far enough or should I keep going? My life is all about cars and I have been so one track minded that maybe I should try to be more balanced? Go to my profile page (ROCKSTAR), I have 3 pages of pictures of just some of the stuff I have been up to all of these years. Please tell me what ya think!
Maybe you guy's can save me some money on counseling and then I can spend it on mentoring a kid just starting out.

You only live once and if you earned it, enjoy it any way you please. Keep the family happy and maintain a life balance. For now you are your own judge and you will relinquish that authority when your time on earth has expired.

My life is all about cars.

Mine was too up 'til a few years back. 'Spent every free moment "hands on" with 'em from the time I was about 16. Never missed a weekend car show either. 'NEVER thought that would ever change, NOR did I want it to. But, to my total amazement - it has.:biggrin ('Must be that drop in testosterone levels that gradually creeps up on all of us, huh!:lol)

As much as you may try to deny it, one way or another, time will find a way to level ALL these things out for you as well - 'car/vehicle obsessions included. But, while you're still obsessed (and the obsession is LEGAL:rofl ...and your family isn't deprived) - enjoy! :wink :cheers

Prof. Pockets

if you are bored with cars then i suggest boats or airplanes

Just buy a new car or two. Has worked for me when I get bored.

Thanks so much so far guy's. Please keep the suggestions and advise comming in!:wink

Rockstar, do you do any racing?
That might be the cure..

Are you coming to the rally ? We could use another instructor??

Like Pockets, I've seen my intersest shift somewhat in recent years. I've expanded to motorcycles (always had a couple...but now I have FIVE!). At the same time, my interest in cars has gotten more focused. Basically, instead of loving EVERYTHING with four wheels I only love a pretty small percentage. Maybe it's the age thing, but I feel like my time is too valuable to spend looking at/working on cars that only sort of do it for me.

There are about 20 vehicles I REALLY find timeless and classic, and I've pretty much decided to spend time/energy on just those models. Doesn't mean I hate everything else, but as far as actively seeking out information/pictures/possible purchase considerations, I don't look beyond them. Leaves more time for family/kids/motorcycles and electronic gaming.

And in case anyone needs confirmation...YES, the Ford GT easily earns a spot on that rarefied list.

I do have an occasional gig, but nothing serious. I would love to spend more time at the track weather it be road racing, oval track / pavement or dirt, gocarts or even drags. Just some thing to tame the BEAST inside of me!

I would love to, but maybe on a nother occasion. Thanks for the offer. But do keep me posted in the future.

I guess we all have our limits and sometimes even push that. But it is good to be deversified.

You live in Colorado dude! If you want to get rid of your boredom I'll take you up on the mountain. I promise it will give you a new perspective on life if that is what you're after :) It's something you just have to try to understand. It will lighten your pocketbook as well lol

Well, I did some drag racing back in the 80"s, it was ok untill I got the thirst for stock car racing. There is nothing like going door to door with a high powered machine. You are not afraid to bump or wreck each other because that is what the car is intended for. Trading paint as we call it!

You live right next to some of the best sledding in the world. I can't imagine my life without it. It's that addicting. Go up and rent for a day. Chris Burandt is one the most talented riders in the world and offers what has to be the most fun back country adventure you can imagine. He's had a lot of big names like Earnhardt Jr come up and spend a week at the lodge in the Colorado back country. He did some scenes for Vin Diesel in the movie Babylon A.D and Vin came up and spent a week with them. I highly recommend this trip for all of you adrenaline junkies on here. Chris knows his stuff and can keep you safe and out of trouble.

That one is of me and the landing was pretty hard that day. It was late in the year down near Crested Butte and the snow was getting pretty setup. No video from that day :(

Here's a fav video of mine. Christoph was killed last year in an avi RIP.

That is the most outregious riding I have ever seen!!!!!!
What must it be like to fly a snowmobile?

Have you ever seen a Polaris RZR? Cheap, and totally different buy fast experience. Ton's of mods you can make, some of which make you go even faster. Nice to drive something where the only speed limit is physics...
