New Plate

Gee.... guess I'll quit complaining about the $75 it costs me a year for my personalized plates (FORD GT) here in Washington!

I myself was gunna be kind and not rub that little fact in (AGAIN), Ed!:rofl

My daughter pays more for the 'tabs on her Civic down in ARIDzona than I pay for my whole fleet up here.

(...'Course, there are 1 or 2 rigs I DON'T license whole truth be told!:biggrin)

Arkansas= 6% sales tax,
Yearly REAL ESTATE property tax
Yearly PERSONAL PROPERTY tax
etc, etc

Ok since were talking sports, nebr has four kinds of plates. Regular, vanity, Husker, and Husker vanity. This is the Husker Vanity. It's 75 bucks extra on top of all the other fee's and the money goe's to the foot ball team.

I have season tickets to the Pistons :lol

When I left Chicago I had season tickets for the Sox and Blackhawks :frown Bulls were dead and Cubs - well we worked during the day......

In this great state of NC, Raleigh particular we have one pro team - the Carolina Hurricanes (Hartford Whalers of old). They did win the cup in 2005/2006 but there were more people watching the college girls softball world series than the Hurricanes and Edmunton battling it out.:rofl

Well at least we are in the playoffs again!

Welcome to the Wild West.

Arizona

8.9% sales tax FGT-$166,500 X 8.9% = $14,818.50
First year FGT AZ license plates = $2560.00
Second year = $2200.00
Third year = $2000.00

PLUS...

Property tax on my 1 acre gas station = $4100.00 per MONTH
Property tax on my home = $1100.00 per MONTH

PLUS...

AZ state income tax = 5%

Our state has a budget crisis and cannot pay its bills. Too much money spent on transfer payments has created a shortage of money to pay for the essential functions of government. A big increase in our personal income tax rates will drive me out of this state and into the ranks of the Texas GT owners. :cheers :thumbsup :biggrin

Finally went down to the S.O.S and renewed my plate. $587 for $5 worth of metal :bored Figured I'd switch it up this year.

NC $33 for plates for FGT, $48 if personalized... Road Tax this year over $539.00. Total this year $572...... but it will go down next year.

2009 California Registration Fees (for 2005 Ford GT):

Registration Fee....................................$56
License Fee........................................$875
Special Plate Fee..................................$30
County/District Fees................................$2

Total............................................. ....$963

Chip - those fees are outrageous!!

I was watching. And I still think that we shoulda won, if not for our D-man running into our own goalie and injuring him.....:frown But I digress, first off, it's EDMONTON. :wink, Second, at Tom's (Skyrex's) invitation, I'm cheering for the Pens, GO PENS GO!!! :bananaand third, thanks for the intake stiffener Mike. :thumbsup

Sorry for the OT Dave, I love your new Plate. Just sucks how much you guys have to pay for your tags. I could understand if it was Cali or someplace you could at least drive all year. That's hardly fair. Still, we makes our own choices, and I'm living here in Edmonton.....where the forecast is for 20 cm (8 inches) of snow tonight.......:bored:bored:bored

I think my plate bill is under $50 per year in Idaho.

FL resident so no income tax.

6% sales tax in ID & FL, but no sales tax in Montana (4 miles away).

About as good as it gets...

I think that Arnold doubled the license fee for next year, not 100% sure.

Excellent plate!
Got the ref.
Was at Jason Heffner's today and spent a lot of time closely looking at a certain TEXAS FGT re-do, now in nice looking matt black but with a "built" engine and a CAM treatment that is second to none... that is making me hope like Hell for a tax refund.
The boys started it up for me and that fantastic, loping idle one associates with a true race car was just THE BEST! How jealous am I???
Jason and crew do amazing work. I've had lots done with Jason Hefffner and crew to "Black Beauty" but this matt black specimen outdoes everything and anything for pure sexy-ness and great sound!
Hopefully, Jason will post pics and maybe put a microphone to the rear and "U-Tube" the exhaust note with the cam lope.

Paul,
The engine that is in that particular animal, and the car it used to be in, were at my house for the majority of the winter. I had the pleasure of driving it around for a while, and it is just ABSURD. Make no mistake, that package does not belong anywhere near the hands of anyone but the most experienced of drivers. The GT with 900rwhp is a kitten. With 1500 rwhp it is an animal. Still it was not the hardest car I've ever had to drive and it behaved well for never having been tuned in sub 40* temps (which I was driving it in). A true shocker compared to what most of us consider the upper reaches of sanity.

Hey 'fly -

I live in California, but at 8,000 ft (2,440 m) - and I still have over 10 ft (3 m) of snow in my front yard. My GT is garaged from the beginning of November to May - and the forecast here is for more snow tonight too!

I heard that too - not looking forward to finding out next February.
