That Metallica stopped sucking? I just finally got Death Magnetic and it's actually good! Their best record since *gasp* 1988. Only took 20 years but they are back :banana

That's all.

I was a little concerned when I read in the WSJ that the album was "made loud" -- as in, lots of recording noise and an artificial production values. But then I thought, since when do I listen to the WSJ for music advice?

Anyway, good to hear. I remember my introduction started with kill em all at the bmx track. Kinda lost track somewhere in the garage days. I'll be checking it out.

Warning, the production is annoyingly distorted. The music is good though. I hear that the mix on Guitar Hero doesn't have the same problem so it was obviously something in the mastering process. Still not annoying enough to dissuade me from listening to it.

whats Metallica, and who's this guitar hero?:lol

It is a good record for sure. But the mastering is definitely crap. It's worth buying IMO.

The guitar hero version splits individual tracks, so there will be fan-masters available for the whole album soon I suppose. Previous GH versions of songs from ...and Justice for All actually include the bass track in fan-masters.

"Lars has claimed that 13,000 people is an insignificant amount of people........"

This from the same band that railed against the Napster's of the world that facilitated 'stealing'. What is Metallica doing but stealing!? Their arrogance continues to amaze.
