Can You OD on Carbon Fiber?

Part of the enjoyment of the FGT ownership 'ride' are finding these mods that individualize our gals. Very similar to the Harley ownership trip.

I am doing the WICKER in CF and look forward to receiving it. All the parts can be obtained from Torrie and shipped to Rob.

Hoping to get a CF case for my MAC BOOK PRO 17 :)

By the way, thank you John Glatz for opening this door....

CF veneer/overlay

I will admit that CF veneers/overlays are better than simulated CF stickers. I still think 100% CF is best.

Ed

Ah, maybe my breast analogy wasn't the best but it did wake up Dr F & Syco!

If they look right and feel right, I don't care how they are made! :lol

Alright, I give in Bony, what the hell is a wicker?

I believe Bony is referring to our wickerbill.

are you talking about CF or implants?:lol

Wicker is the correct nomenclature for the small lip spoiler on the clam shell.

Oh, Damn! Now I have to ship something else to him!:willy

Ditto. He's the guy who started all this with Speedtek. I saw his car in Vegas and here we are. I didn't know his forum name and was hesitant to post his real name.

He had several other interior pieces done like the door sills, interior door pulls and e-brake bezel. His car looked sharp.:thumbsup

Bony is First

Haven't seen those before. Bony, may have to ban you! Who sells those, Kip or Cat?

Interesting timing. When it rains, it pours.
In the end, the GT community wins.

I've been working up the tooling for these for quite a while and now have them completed.

These will be available in the coming weeks. Bony, of course, gets right of first refusal...

Our version of this part starts with an original Ford vent. We replace the outer ring with a molded carbon part. The vanes then get machined back and we bond molded carbon over an original vane.

Your original part is unaltered. Installation is quite simple, as you just pull out the original part and push the new ones in. It is essentially a snap fit.

I'll post photos of our part this week.

Interested parties, please contact me directly.

Much more this month.
Rear window vents, mirrors, hand brake bezels, etc!
Oh, and did I mention, Bony is first...

Cheers
Kip

Thank you for the clarification Bony.

Texas, he goes by JBG here on the Forum. His RED car is really sharp.

thanks KIP!

Looking forward to my CF Gauge Panel Kip!

I recently returned home after being sent away for my CF addiction. It didn't help :lol I dedicated the past weekend to put the final touches on the center console side panels (100% Ed!). Rob should have them completed in the next couple weeks. The purpose of my project was not for weight reduction but aesthetics. I wanted to take the wonderful work of Kip one step further and eliminate as much of the interior silver pieces as possible. It all began with a scratch in the center console and then the OCD kicked in. I decided to purchase Kip's console as a replacement. Then came the door rings, instrument panel, etc and Stormcat's center pocket. I couldn't stop :ack Many thanks go out to Shadowman for answering the weekend calls and Rich Roback for the contacts.
