"A (wealthy) Arab has caused uproar after reportedly putting his Lamborghini on a 6,500-mile round trip to Britain — for an oil change.

The $376,000 supercar was put on a flight from Qatar to Heathrow Friday before being flown back after the service, the U.K.'s Sun newspaper reported Thursday.

The transport of the Murciélago LP640 – driven by Batman in "The Dark Knight" — would have cost the owner — believed to be a Sheikh — about $40,000, the paper reported.

The move sparked fury from employees at Heathrow.

“This car doesn’t have a carbon footprint — more of a crater,” one airport worker told the paper.

The overall cost of sending the black-and-gold supercar to London for the oil change would have cost more than $45,000, The Sun reported.

On Monday, the vehicle was flown back to Qatar."

Do I detect a little class ENVY involved here?

But, here's my question. WHY didn't this 'dude' simply fly a TECH to the car, rather than fly the car to the tech??? I mean, the CAR coulda been SCRATCHED or something during transport! :rofl:rofl:rofl

But he had a coupon offering 50% off on the next oil change,...
so it will all work out....
Just ask any Exon shareholder....

Sure is interesting to see everyone jump in the boat of environmental this-and-that and going green for the sake of being politically correct. Buy a hybrid, I need YOUR gas :wink

Won't be long before I go inside a restaurant only to come back out and see my car being vandalized by three men wearing leaves riding bicycles with recycled tire rubber and wooden frames, writing on the car with 100% biodegradable brush-applied neon paint. Hey at least it washes off :lol

strange, why does he have to take the car to England for oil, I thought they had a lot of oil in Qatar!:lol

Why didn't he just drain it in the sand and then pump it back out, to make more money!
