Moving to Tucson.. need Car Transport Recs

Well, here's one more California native (and his company) cutting a trail to Arizona.

Anyone have an exotic car transport company they can recommend?

I tried FedEx 'Custom Critical', as they bought out Passport (who delivered the car originally)..what a joke. They only have a $100k worth of insurance, you have to pay additional $300 to get to $150k, their max. They also can't pinpoint pick up (or delivery) within 7 days. The tab to go 450 miles one way was about a grand. Soooooooo..anyone?

I have a friend that owns a CA/AZ/NV exotic transport company. Send me an email at [email protected] and I'll introduce him. VERY RELIABLE AND CAUTIOUS.

Better yet, drive the car.
I'm driving for the second year in a row to Scottsdale to start the rally. I live in Fresno

With Diesel prices at over $5.00 a gallon and trucks getting less than 5 miles to the gallon that price is not bad, you have over $500.00 just in fuel. We all need to get use to higher prices every were with Oil talks of $150.00 a barrel. Most transportation companies are only carrying $100,000.00 per occurrence. The national fuel charge today is 41%

With fuel, insurance, work comp, Employee, cost of the power unit and trailer and much much more, once again not a bad price. You can definitely get it moved faster and there are a lot of carriers that can handle that for you but I wouldn't bet on a much cheaper price.

Jeff I rented a Penske truck to move some things and found out their car haller was only another $250. I didn't put the GT on it but did move another car without any problems.

Most is already moved and the rest goes on the 25th. I will be hanging around for a while longer than planned due to a very ill father:frown.

I plan to motor home in the mountians just east of Tombstone this fall (Chiricahua Nat. Monument), I'll give you a call for dinner or something.:thumbsup
