I am not sure if this has been mentioned here before but... I was looking for something else in the manual and read that the tire inflation unit is a "one use only" item. Apparently on top of pumping air in to the tire it also injects a tire sealant. FYI

The compressor is reusable, but the sealant unit has to be replaced.

Is there a tank that is replaceable or do you have to replace the whole unit?

Tire Sealant

FYI - the GT sealant is a special mix. The 'standard' mix sealant, and less expensive, will clog the valve stem and Schrader valve, thus effectively plugs off the incoming air supply.

Page 5 of the ContiComfortKit manual states "...Both the hose and the canister need to be replaced after using the ContiComfortKit. Information on how to replace these parts is given on page 22."

Page 22 states "New sealant and replacement parts can be purchased from your authorized repair shop or dealer...."

If you look thru the warehouse tire places, you'll find a replacement for cheaper than Ford. There is an old link on this Forum somewhere about it. I have it bookmarked on my computer at home, but not here, so it'll 10 days before I can locate.
