Gordo, some lovely cars there! :thumbsup

Did you get a chance to drive the face-lifted Aero 8? I had a go in a Mark 2 - basically the MY06 car with all the USA homologation changes, incl the extra 6" in the cabin width - but also has the chance to have a good look around, and sit in the Geneve MY06 Mark 3 show car (which has the face-lift as well as the changes). I just fell in love with it!

My wife has hinted on a classic Morgan for her 40th... :wink ...and I'm tempted to oblige (best of both worlds then :biggrin )

Nomis, careful. I bought my (now ex) wife a new XJ6 for her 40th - she promptly ran off with an insurance salesman. Good, actually. That's when the real collecting started. :biggrin

I drove the old "squint" Aero 8 - although I think the new MINI headlights will be much better. Good luck with it.

Gordo.

delexjb,

I appreciate the value you put on your B210. For me, maybe not the quickest daily driver, but fun no less, is my 03 Toyota MR2 Spyder. Of course the TRD body package and rear spoiler and hardtop do give it a little "edge". Being lowered and with 17" wheels doesn't hurt either. Alternately I drive my 05 Lotus Elise. The GT is my "big" car... I've got other cars, but they're like my GT. Special occasions... :biggrin

Sounds like a fair trade! :wink :biggrin

As per my reason for looking at the GT, I felt the Aero had a real 'sense of occasion' about it and I can imagine keeping it and not wanting to sell it. When you consider there are only about 450 in the world, it's a fairly rare car. Add to that V8 grunt in a light car and the smiles-per-mile have to be high!

I'll post some pictures up when it arrives and try and tempt some of you into another V8 car - this time a British one! :wink

My DD is an Blue/White Stripes 06 Viper Coupe FE #56

I just got rid of my 03 Porsche 996TT and I am waiting for my highly customized Ford GTX1 to arrive sometime in July.

I am looking into getting a Ferrari 599 GTB (I know it will be almost impossible but I have a few contacts) and will be getting a Z06 or another Viper for Track use.

Hmmmm ... looking at all the toys listed I feel a little inadequate - just a little VE (vehicle envy), especially the high HP ones! Guess I just have to add to the current stable of:

2005 Ford GT (my baby) :banana
2005 S55 AMG
2004 XLR
2004 Escalade ESV Platinum (wife)
2003 DTS (DD)
2002 Thunderbird (wife)
1976 Rolls Royce Sliver Shadow (not sure why)
1959 S-62 Cadillac Convertible
2001 HD Sreaming Eagle Road Glide
2003 HD Low Rider (wife)
2003 HD Sreaming Eagle Road King

plus a couple of ATVs, a 2001 Sea Ray 460 Sundancer and of course a X485 John Deere Garden Tractor!

Lots of fun, but ya know, could use just one or two more exotics ... gotta feeling you'all understand that need! :cheers

Bony, your mind is always in the wrong place!!! I won't even venture a guess as to what the 3" you're refering to is... anyways, it's my kite (kitesurfing). I'm using the switchblade now in place of the crossbow. :wink

Mary Jo!!
Scientific tests ( conducted at the Watusi Room at the Tonga Club in Watsonville California) proved that women have trouble judging lenghts of objects.
Sorry if the results prove hard to believe, but the test was done using my standard procedures accepted by nonengineering graduates of Thomas Jefferson Elementary School in San Leandro :bs
Cheers,
daniel

p.s. pretty hard to conceal that crossbow was it? :biggrin
