Every category in my opinion!

What mods, if any do you think the GT-R had? I know the GT has a whipple.:biggrin

Don't know. I fast forwarded to the end to see which car won. I think tires would be more a factor than engine mods. That is on that track a stock FGT with Hoosier would probably be faster than one with stock tires and a Whipple.

Right hand drive GT?

Yep, did a damn good job if you ask me. Costs an arm and leg though.

Recently saw a GT-R at a Ferrari Club event. Driver was just a spectator. The fit and finish is very nice. It is actually quite a large car. But I just can't bring myself to like the looks, and I don't think the 20" wheels help matters...in fact, I think it makes the car look worse. Reminds me of myself when I was 13-14 years old, 6'0" 140 lbs. with size 11 shoes...get the picture. Not a pretty site. The wheels just look to big IMHO.:biggrin

I agree. There were quite a few of them at the SEMA show this year, and I was a bit shocked at how large they are. I suppose I expected something similar to the 240Z-260Z-280Z Datsun/Nissan dimensions.

That show is terrible. They are trying to be funny and make a very poor job of it...

Also comparing a Whippled GT with a GT-R that still has the 112mph limiter on is a little misleading, wouldn't you think?

Fact is the GT-R is an incredible car for the money. It is also a lot easier to drive fast than the FGT.

It does not mean it is more fun or has that sense of occasion you get with the FGT...

But I bet that if you are a normal driver at the track with a stock GT and a stock GTR you'd be faster in the latter.

Sorry but the GTR is ugly

There is a lot of tech in a GTR but to me it is butt ugly. It's even uglier up close. I just can't see it being a timeless design like the FGT. Trendy, complex & disposable.

As much as I love the GT and hate the GTR, a 480hp GTR barely losing to a 750+hp GT is very impressive.

If you were back in High School and the Ford GT was the pretty girl and the GTR was the FUGLY but smart girl, who would you choose? If they both ran a heat during the Track & Field day and the GTR with all its brains came in a close second which would pick?

Which would you choose,

a) A beautiful women that required a 5 star meal and then would performed well,

or

b) an ugly women that would eat at McDonald's but performed even better, if you kept your eyes closed or the lights out?

I wouldn't eat at McDonalds with Jennifer Anniston... or Wendys, or Taco Bell.
I like slow food and lots of foreplay and great wines,....

And oh yeah, always keep my eyes wide open... :)

That's what makes the world so great, something for everyone, including the N-GTR!

I'd buy Jennifer a burger rather than sit down to drink a bottle of the finest wine with
