The F40 is still a bit of classic, although it is very dated looking, there's not too much that detracts from one in the flesh. Oh, apart from a GT parked right next to it!! :lol
When I turned up to Goodwood about 30 people surrounded the GT, so I opened the engine bay to a barrage of flash bulbs. They are still soooo rare here in the UK that car enthusiasts are drawn to it like moths to a flame.
As Mike (F40) and I left Goodwood, he went right, I went left at the main gates. About 10 photographers stopped us leaving to get shots of the cars together - as we left he and I both managed lengthy wheel spins in opposite directions. A rather nice, albeit 'show-offy' moment!
Yes, very lucky to live next door to Goodwood - I'm tracking the GT again in April. If any UK owners fancy getting down to Goodwood in their GT's, mail me off Forum and I'll give you the details of the track day.....

In truth it's only the Parisians who are awkward - in much the same way that Londoners and New Yorkers are. The French are generally a nice bunch - and rather like the British and Americans. They have long memories!
The benefit of driving something 'special' in France is that they adore cars - more than many other European countries. They're all on a diet of Renaults and Citroens, so when you show them caviar they go bonkers!!
