Having no idea what is planned for the rally, if this is not redundant, those arriving early could take a cruise to Grosse Point to the Edsel and Eleanor Ford house.
Maybe other possibilities, that I've enjoyed, the Roush collection in plymouth, there is (or has been the couple times I've been there) a CP car, and 2 Ford GN34 cars, which was fords 1 attempt at a mid engine concept. As well as a ton of other race cars, concepts etc.

Also if it's not part of the rally, the Nardo car that was driven by Mark to the infamous Vmax, is at the model t museaum piquette

Well, the last day of the Rally is in Detroit at Camilo's studio. Living in the host region, I feel an obligation to help make you feel 'at home'. Co_ordination is KEY.. Also, on August 29 and 30 , ''Thunder over Michigan'' occurs at Willow Run Airport. US Navy Blue Angels with be the highlight group.
Willow Run is only about 10 miles from Dearborn . Maybe a 'Flyover'?. We took our Ford Mustangs out several years ago for photos under the wings of P-51 Mustangs ...and WWabbit was there with his friend Neal HUN-Hunter and their P-47 Thunderbolts...
