I had a similar thing happen one time to a Datsun PU truck I sold to my cousin. He did a neutral drop & spun the rear end around in the mounts & snapped the U-joint on the D-shaft. The Datsun had a ford 9" & a built 350 Chevy motor in it. It could pull the front wheels of the ground when conditions were right (supposes this could have weakened the welds too :lol )
