PEUGEOT AMONG SEBRING WINTER TEST ENTRIES

Peugeot is among the list of entries for the American Le Mans Series' annual Winter Test at Sebring, joining Series prototype regulars such as Audi Sport North America, Penske Racing and Dyson Racing from the Porsche camp, three Acura teams, Mazda's B-K Motorsports and Intersport Racing.

An impressive list of the Series' top GT2 teams with representation from Dodge, Ferrari, Ford and Panoz also are entered for the three-day Test, scheduled from January 28-30 at Sebring International Raceway. It serves as a warm-up for the 56th Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring presented by Fresh from Florida on March 15, the opening race for the 2008 American Le Mans Series.

The entry of a diesel-powered Peugeot 908 leads many to believe the French factory will enter the Sebring endurance classic and provide a rematch of last year's clash at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Peugeot began on pole position there but Audi dominated the race with the trio of Frank Biela/Emanuele Pirro/Marco Werner taking their second straight victory in the Audi R10 TDI. They won by 10 laps over the Peugeot of Sebastien Bourdais/Pedro Lamy/Stephane Sarrazin. The Audi trio also won last year at Sebring.

Neither factory has announced its full 2008 program but confirmations are expected to come soon.

It is getting to be busy at Sebring. Penske Racing its testing its Porsche RS Spyders today through Friday. Dyson Racing, another RS Spyder team, and Flying Lizard Motorsports from GT2 will test today and tomorrow. Andretti Green Racing, Highcroft Racing and Lowe's Fernandez Racing all will test their new Acura ARX-01b prototypes January 14-15 with Audi testing January 21-23.

Preparations for the 2008 American Le Mans Series, its 10th season of world-class sports car racing, begin January 28-30 with the annual Winter Test at Sebring International Raceway.

The 2008 season opens with the 56th Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring presented by Fresh from Florida on Saturday, March 15. The race will start at 10 a.m. ET and will be broadcast live by SPEED, which will begin its coverage at 9:30 a.m. American Le Mans Radio and IMSA's Live Timing & Scoring will be available at americanlemans.com.

Tungsten,
The Kenilworth Lodge is a nice 90 year old hotel. It is on the oppisite end of Airport road/ Kenilworth Blvd. from the Raceway. Also, Inn on the Lakes is nice. Or the Chateau Elan is in the Hairpin at the track. John

Don- go for the Chateau Elan. It is right on the track. If there's a team you don't want to win you can pelt them with rocks as they go through the hairpin.
