Here is part of an article that appeared in the June 7, 2007 issue of the Sacramento Bee newspaper. A table is shown with the Ford GT as one of the "largest surcharges". The info in the table is from the "Union of Concerned Scientists". Is that a made up group? I doubt there are many GTs still for sale in CA but they are still in the media. The State of CA has made most of the money it will make off of GT owners by now.

'Notice they say the "average retail price" of a GT is $141K?????! :eek

Right there that tells ya it's a complete waste of time reading the rest of the article, 'cause there obviously won't be one accurate bit of research IN it...

(Don'tcha LUV the social engineering these pukes ram down our throats? '...take $2,500 out of the pocket of the guy who buys a Hummer & hand it to the guy who buys a Prius'.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!)

Great, I enjoy working side by side with my pals from China speeding up global warming. Thanks McClathey Newspapers, not fit to line your bird cage.

Oh no, the earth is crumbling under the pressure of 4,000 cars, most of which are barely driven. Yawn.

Yes, I do agree. My Dad always called it the Provda. Just another socialist rag.

hey I get better mileage out of my GT than my land cruiser. the gt gets 16/25 and the Land Cruiser gets 12/16. yeah ouch.... thats why I am looking at a semi-replacement.

A truck to tow/work and a highlander hybrid to drive around town with the kid.

the lotus gets 24/32 .... man that car still makes me smile. if you can fit in one .... but it ... you will not regret the ride.
