“This year one of the American Speed Festival’s Master of Motorsports Awards
Will be presented to FORD PERFORMANCE.”

To celebrate and pay tribute to Ford Performance, we are planning a special gathering of Ford GT’s and Ford GT 40’s
at the M1 Concourse.

-Saturday September 30 , 10am join us for a 50 FGT vehicle display at the M1 event center Plaza.
- noon group photo/ parade of all vehicles on M1 circuit.
- cars on display until 5:00 pm
-owners will receive 2 guest credentials

-Sunday October 1 , Speed and Style expo
Cars displayed trackside in front of event center.
Owners will receive 2 guest credentials.

M1 is cordially inviting us to attend this event.

The Four (4) day event starts today .

We have almost Forty (40) Ford GT’s signed up for the Saturday Ford GT event/ parade.
(Some Ford GT’s that are only rarely seen in the wild )

I will be there all 4 days
With my 2017 Ford GT
Stop by …even for a few hours to talk and watch the Track, Corvettes, LeMans racers , car show etc.

Wow what a great event was really fun and great seeing all of you there. The best part for me was Raj Nair leading the pack as we all took a few laps around the track.

AMERICAN SPEED FESTIVAL SUMMARY.

Joe . Thanks for posting the M1 Track video and thanks to all attendees from our GT Forum and local GT owners.

The following is a debrief of the 4 day event and our FORD GT PARTICIPATION:
—We had thirty one (31) Ford GTs attend.
—We had twenty eight (28) Ford GT’s ON THE TRACK FOR APPROXIMATELY 10 laps.
(See Joe’s video)
—several of us competed on the Speed Ring for 4 track sessions of 20 minutes each over 2 days.
—M1 provided drivers lounge credentials and all day breakfast and lunch food service for us for both Saturday and Sunday catered by Andiamos.
— M1 provided each of us with a personalized 11x14 inch plaque for each vehicle.
—many historical Ford and other manufacturers vehicles in attendance.

It was a very enjoyable 4 day event here in Detroit at M1.
