Years ago, I put a dash pad in my car to protect from sun damage. When I installed that. I put some beads of black RTV along the forward edge to glue it to the windshield gasket so it doesn’t slide around. The pad has a semi-fuzzy surface.

Then I put some Velcro “hook” tape on the bottom of my V1 to give it some grip to the dash cover. The hooks dig into the dash pad enough to keep it in one place without sticking like Velcro. . Then I plug it into the cigarette lighter socket. Very easy to put in place and then remove when I park the car.

On top of the dash it appears to work well sensing radar and laser in both directions, and it’s below my line of sight.

And yes, I need to upgrade to a Gen2 V1 to cut down on the false alarms due to radar sensors on newer cars.
